Service no. 0000588531-problem with refrigerator. 11 Llewellyn Loop Conder ACT.

Technician attended and advised that pipe ic cracked near compressor and gas has leaked out .Good and prompt diagnosis. He then advised that the matter would be referred to the workshop for repair.This would involve removal of unit to workshop. I would like an estimate of the repair cost as,upon reflection, the unit is 14 years old and how long would we be without a fridge? For your urgent advice. Regards Peter Maher

Don't presume your customer requiring help is sitting there with a credit card

I am upset with your help team who expected me to be able to front up with a credit card and put a refundable $12.00 on something no chance to say not possible . I love my refrigerator stove top and pyroliptic oven have been scared to use the oven on self clean found all instructions on dismanteling the door etc clear removeing metal something went wrong I ended up with A 3 error when I found out how useless your help team was by now I was cut off with a form to use a credit card on no discussion I again tried the hint to gently try to get the door to open I was greatly blessed this happened and grateful to the book with the oven I now have it I think successfully set to 4hr clean I had tried everything in the book numerous times before going to your help

Very poor customer service

My washing machine has just stopped working, it filled and then turned off, I can't turn it back on and it's full of water. I tried searching for a manual online, but that was futile. I have already been on hold for close to 1 1/2 hrs, still waiting and annoyingly every couple of minutes, I have to press '2' to reserve my place in the queue, surely staying on the phone would be enough of an indication!

I have a standard dish draw and I am very happy with it but for one thing, it could do with a light fitted to the back panel that switches on on opening. Might be something for you to think about.

Terrible dishwasher

Double drawer dishwasher. Lights and setting change on their own. It beeps minutes after the drawer is open. Doesn’t clean properly. I’ve have 5 service calls with parts replaced in both drawers 3 times. Whole control panels changed out-NO CHANGE! Customer service is awful. Regional service manager is clearly made up. I was told he would call or email-never a word back. Every time I called I would have to explain the entire problem again and again and submit my service call paperwork!!! Every time!!!! No one would ever connect me with a manager or supervisor after asking at least 3 times on 3 separate calls. Now the issues are worse with no warranty left. Bottom drawer no longer functions. Garbage. I’m getting a new dishwasher after spending $1500 on this useless hunk of crap in my kitchen. DO NOT BUY!!

Oh my gosh..... This review could have been written by me....

I gave up sending paperwork to FP to prove service had been performed. This was a total waste of time. But I was always hopeful so I kept it up....

Now there is no warranty left. Going to start over with a different machine having learned an expensive lesson.

THE OVEN -Poor Product - Poor Customer Service

As the technician was packing up to leave, after his or another's fourth visit in 6 weeks, I asked where his suitcase was. "Suitcase"?

"Yes", I said. "You might as well stay here because when this oven goes out within a week or so, as before, you will be here ready to fix it." We rarely cook or use the oven but mystery of mysteries when the first part went out then there was a second and a third part strangely out of order. All within a very short period of time. One replacement part never did work.

Bad enough waiting on hold for the New Zealand customer service department and being told there was no record of past service calls. Don't bother trying to explain or negotiate a free service call or part replacement cause it ain't gonna happen.

This is without a doubt the worst company I have ever had to deal with. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCT!

SENT THEIR TECHNICIAN YESTERDAY 07/09/2020 FOR A COURTESY OUT OF WARRANTY SERVICE AT NO COST TO ME AND THE TECHNICIAN REPAIRED THE OVEN TO MY SATISFACTION.IN THE FIRST YEAR THEY CAME THREE TIMES AND NOW FOR THE FIFTH TIME IN 37 MONTHS REPLACED THE SAME THERMAL LIMITER.

OTHERWISE MY F.P.

FRIGIDAIRE, DISHWASHER, AND MICROWAVE HAVE FUNCTIONED JUST GREAT. DO NOT ASK ME TO RATE THEM, ALL I CAN SAY IS I'M STUCK WITH THEM.

What bean counting FOOL decided to put ONE set of controls for a double drawer dishwasher. Might have saved them $50-$100. Big WHOOOP. Consumer paid $1600-$1700 retail for the double drawer dishwasher. Then pull up a chair & get eye level comfortable to turn the stupid thing on just one drawer. It is a solid piece of garbage. Great dishwasher now second rate but Fisher Paykel makes more money. This was a warranty replacement dishwasher. Original had dual controls on front of each unit. Received their newest One control to operate both drawers. If you research this you will find even people working on the design & sales of this unit have trouble with the controls. But they make more money by screwing the consumer with this second class control. ONLY solution spend more...BUY 2 individual drawers each with a control. Maybe that was their plan all along. Greedy, bean counters justifying their existence at the encouragement of even greedier corporation: Fisher Paykel.

I purchased this fisher Paykel washer April 1st 2015 1st repaired was done on 9/8/2015, I’ve had or replaced 5 water valves the last valve didn’t even last to do 1 load before it went out I paid $999.99 taxes not included that I paid plus delivery charge, every time a valve would go out I would have to wait 2 to 3 weeks before I could get someone to look at plus 2 weeks before come back to install the part mean while having to go to a laundromat every couple days and pay to have the laundromat to get our clothes cleaned, I’m sorry but I’m not happy and would not recommend Fisher Paykel to anyone and I’ve called fisher Paykel at least 2 dozen times and get no satisfaction and they keep asking for the same documents over and over, what I thought was a good product and company is a big disappointment, I asked for a refund because I ve waited 1 1/2 months to get someone to fix it that I had to go buy a different washer from another company that has a better warranty and support.... disappointment dissatisfy, this machine is a lemon and there is a lemon law, ALL I WANT IS A REFUND AND THIS JUNK OUT OF MY HOUSE.

Paint wearing off fridge doors

For the past few years the paint has been wearing off where anyone touches it. Clearly the paint is not resistant to oil from hands etc and it just goes soft and is easily scraped off. Not what anyone remembers as F&P quality and is a sad reflection of a good NZ company loosing the grip on quality through outsourcing. No need to add photos, they would be the same as many shown below.

Ripped off

I'm now over a year and half of trying to get the Customer Service Leadership in north America to understand how much their company has ripped me off, to see yet another email by Lisette, saying she's again closing my claim.

The folks in New Zealand were actually kind/caring, but theirs hands are tied.

The story: double wall oven purchased for $4500. Main circuit/relay board died. Board was sent to FP for repair, they lost it. Said no more can be found or made, as the Mfg. was in Japan and wiped out during the Tsunami. So, I've been patient. This was Oct. 2017. Imagine Thanksgiving and Christmas without an oven.

They only want to compensate for the value of the board ($400), even though they've rendered the depreciated value (their number) of $3000.

So, I keep asking for my $3K, and each time Lisette just wants to shut down the communication. There's simply no rationalizing with this person. I don't understand how she can be the head of Cust. Service when she can't see that their company has taken $3K in value from my family, and put me through *** for the last year plus.

Poor Customer Service Fisher Paykel

Finish on Fisher Paykel appliance is cracked. I tried to purchase white touch up paint from website. I called customer service and they said the paint is only available in New Zealand. Poor customer service. I would not recommend this product.

Won't provide touch up paint in U.S.

I dropped a mixing bowl and it chipped a large pie e if paint off the refriferator which iscan indication if the extraordonarily bad paint finish. I called to see if they had touch up paint. They said no but they would email the formula. That was a lie. I calkecagain and they said they did not have the formula but then told me based on my serial number the color was white. I almost laughed. She said go to any hardware store and buy some white paint. I looked online and they do have touch up paint but they only ship it to New Zealand.

Horrible Paint

I too have one of their refrigerators with the paint peeling off after less than 6 months old. Could not find any product from them anywhere except Australia. I tried touching it up with major USA made appliance paint and Fisher & Paykel's paint bubbled when touched by the appliance paint causing even more problems. I will now sand the entire door down and repaint it with a quality paint. Never Again will i pay top dollar for a poor quality Fisher & Paykel appliance.
