I have a drawer dishwasher that is broken. Both the Fisher & Paykel agents in SW England are on holiday for two weeks. At the same time. It is situated in a self-catering cottage which I now cannot let. F & P have not responded to my numerous complaints about their lack of service support. From the day I purchased this machine all I had was trouble. The really frustrating thing, I can't get a F&P certified repair dude out to my house to fix it!! I've called them several times - no service dude in my area. REALLY??? Both the top and bottom drawers will start beeping, out of the blue, for no reason. Two of my igniters stopped working on my 9yr.old range. When I called Fisher Paykel they referred me to a couple different repair companies, I had both companies come out ($300.00 cost) both told me the same thing - the unit could not be repaired due to a design flaw. When I contacted Fisher Paykel to ask for their help (for a total of 6 months) they refused to do anything due to it being 9yrs.... Read more

On Dec, 10 ,2009 in Farmers Branch, Tx, My Fisher & Paykel Gas Clothes Dryer Caught Fire Due To A Defective Drum Bearing Assembly not Properly Lubricated. It failed and caught fire. The fire then spread, and consumed the entire house. My Wife Rosemary Webb Was KILLED due to Smoke Inhalation because of this. i would not recommend anyone to buy any product from this company the customer service is terrible. I took delivery of a new gas range and when it was hooked up it did not work, after the service guy looked at it he said the moduale had to be replaced. when i called customer service and told them i wanted a new range because they delivered a faulty one they said they reserve the right to repair.... Our Smartload dryer blew a bearing after only 3.5 years of use. The customer care was awful. They were not sympathetic about helping us out. We tried several times. Each time the woman answering had an attitude and did not see anything strange about a dryer failing at 3.5 years. We ended working out a deal with the appliance store and paying for the labor. As a kitchen designer for 12 years, the Fisher Paykel double drawer dishwasher has always been the first dishwasher we recommend to our clients. I have had my F/P washer and dryer for 5 1/2 years. I have not had repair problems but certainly have not been satisfied with the products. The washer takes an incredibly long time to do a cycle. I could understand that with an all cold water load but the last warm load I did took 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete! What a waster of energy. The same with the dryer..long drying time plus...
